What Can Be Done For Shadows And Dark Circles Under The Eyes?

Filed under: Product & Services Reviews — admin @ 7:01 pm

A very common complaint people have is dark circles under their eyes.
Occasionally this can be treated, but sometimes the problem is resistant
treatment.
First it must be determined what is the cause of the problem. Three
factors can contribute to darkness under the eyes:
If you press to the shadowed area and it disappears, the problem is due to
blood vessels beneath the thin skin of the eye area. If the color doesn’t
go away when pressed, the darkness is caused by surplus pigment.
If the shadow forms at the inside corner of your eye, where a tear would
flow, it’s most likely caused by a deep tear trough.
The blood vessel issue is the most difficult to treat. There are more than
one type of treatment to utilize for this such as the Cynergy vascular
laser that can destroy these vessels. It must first be ascertained whether
the problem is too close to the eye. All in all, this has been one of the
top cosmetic surgery procedures done in recent times along with breast augmentation and breast
implants.
Excess pigment can be treated with a prescription bleaching cream. This is
a sensitive area and the bleaching creams can be irritating, however.
A deep tear trough is actually the most common cause. It can be treated
with filler like Restylane. These procedures can provide dramatic,
immediate results after a small amount of temporary bruising. These
fillers are only temporary, however, and last from 6 to 12 months or so.
For a more permanent fix for the hollow eye problem, a patient’s own fat
may be harvested from another area, such as the stomach or thighs, and
after being processed through a special technique, may be injected under
the eyes. This is an effective, long-term solution.
Another cause for dark circles under the eyes can occur in patients with
seasonal allergies. Basically pigmentation is caused by constantly rubbing
the eyes. These dark circles can be treated with bleaching creams and
allergy medicine to stop the itching.
Finally some people have too much fat or excess skin under their eyes that
causes puffiness along with the dark circles. The only treatment for this
condition is surgery. As stated earlier, this surgery is one of the most
popular along with breast augmentation.
